Looking Ahead to 2008
Wrapping It UpWhew! - you made it through the entire list of confirmed releases and predictions for 2008. Consider yourself a Serious Gamer (your badge and handbook are in the mail). Next year will be full of great PC games: hit titles will grace our hard drives as they always do, and we'll all enjoy the fruits of developers' labors. But like an old man who can't resist ending a happy story with a serious life lesson, I offer a few words of wisdom: be wary of the industry hype machine. We all want great games, and it's easy to get caught up in the excitement surrounding a new release. Just take everything you hear with a grain of salt, learn which sources to trust, and be an informed consumer. OK, lesson over. The coming year is going to be a great year for PC gaming, but even the great can get better. I'll close it off with a short wish list for 2008. A lone gamer's Wish List for 2008:
