Coming Soon - PC Games of 2009...and BeyondAs for 2010, well, Cryptic claims that Star Trek Online would come in 2010 but "I'll belive it when I see it". Depending on how things go with Champions Online, resources could be shuffled around and schedules redrawn - MMOs are notorious for delays. Also, on the subject of MMOs, we should hear next week when Realtime Worlds plans to publish APB - All Points Bulletin - a "Grand Theft Auto-style" MMO which has been under development for PC and Xbox 360 for quite a while.
Aliens vs. Predator and Dead Rising 2 are notable multiplatform titles that should appear in early 2010, assuming no big surprises with release date announcements next week. Then there is always Diablo 3, which is still quite a while off. Still, "Late 2010" is definitely a possibility, even if Blizzard is adamantly refusing to give any estimates. On the MMO front, 2010 might see a new World of Warcraft expansion - work is already underway and the time between The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King was a bit under two years - same development cycle would mean autumn 2010. Maybe Blizzard will spill the beans in BlizzCon 2009 in August? Plenty of games to look forward to... and then we have all the new games that will be announced next week at E3 2009. Stay tuned!
