To be or not to be depressed, that's the question

The financial depression is hitting us hard. Shares are losing their value, companies are going under, people are thereby losing their jobs and additionally losing everything they have in their retirement funds, as the banks sitting on those investments are going out of business, after losing all of peoples' money they were supposed to take care of. This is every day news, and pretty much everyone...

iPhone thoughts from a Nokian :)

Now he opens a can of worms you say. A Nokia employee writes something about the iPhone. - Will he get fired, or will he get fired and thrown out the window, where he sits in the 4th floor office? There is only one way to find out, and as usual, this really is just my personal opinions, not by any means some official stand of my employer.

The iPhone launch sure got quite a bit of interest...

Microsoft just recently announced DX11. This was sooner than expected, as it is not too long since DX10 shipped with Vista. And there were earlier rumours about upcoming DXes getting around four years between major versions. Also, DX9 evolved quite a bit, and launched several updates all under the same version 9. I last time wrote about the perfect gaming device and found no actual conclusion. I did still consider towards the end how it's more to a good game than what hardware it runs on, and how you steer the game.
