In this blog, Nick Renqvist, a 3DMark developer, YouGamers/Futuremark Site Manager and an enthusiastic gamer rambles about pretty much everything and the kitchen sink. And sometimes about 3DMark too. This is THE place to catch some never-seen-before shots from the past and the future.
3DMark06 Early Shots
Posted 09-21-2007 at 03:18 PM by Nick[FM]
I know the title is not as sexy as if it would say "The Next 3DMark Early Shots", but just keep your eyes on this page in the near future for some treats.
I found some interesting shots from the early days of 3DMark06. One of the shots is a concept art of a monster of somekind, which was originally meant to appear in one of the graphics tests. Why it was left out is another story, but... |

Web Games in 3D
Posted 09-21-2007 at 03:16 PM by Nick[FM]
While scooping through my emails this morning I stumbled across an interesting one about an interview with Nicholas Francis who is one of the founders of the upcoming Unity Game Engine. As the title says, our new layout on YouGamers is finally up and running! The whole team worked damn hard to get all the bits and pieces to work as we wanted, and I have to say that they did an outstanding job. There are still things which are unfinished (not visible yet), but they will be there within a couple of days.
This is just the first milestone. We have a bagful of new and cool... |

Demo Time!
Posted 09-21-2007 at 03:11 PM by Nick[FM]
Vacation time - 0 days.
I'm back from my vacation, and I had a blast doing nothing! That's quality-time I tell ya'. :) This also means that I will start updating my blog more frequently and also slip some new and cool info about our upcoming benchmarks - PCMark and 3DMark. This time though I thought to post a video of a demo I really enjoyed watching. The demo is called... |
