Default Re: Voice comms needed

Scenario 1: I want to chat to everyone on the server, on both teams - as long as they have set voice to: ALL, and haven't muted me, they can hear me and talk back.

Scenario 2: I want to talk to my team only, I want to mute the annoying people also. I set voice to: TEAM

Scenario 3: I dont want to talk to anyone and just play while listening to music or talk to friends on vent. I set voice to: OFF

There are no other scenarios.

This is the simplest, best, easiest, most fun method for everyone.

edit: an indicator next to peoples name to show which mode they were in would be nice: A, T, O.
/end thread.

Sigh now why are you being so harsh to my idea?
your ideas inplace with every other game.
This game is built on sound. hell if you hit home you cant hear anything!
your idea is basicly the normal use.
My idea is just an idea never put in practice because it was never suited.
I am a dog with a bone! I like my own idea and thus I want to see it in-place.
your idea is inplace in every voip game on the internet. its useless and not new.
This game to a point is a simulation, thus this idea suit such a game.
this game isn't normal, why have normal ideas?

It's useful and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

People don't need to test not being artifically muted to know it's not going to work.

Not really, I usually have the game on 10% volume and music+vent going. Sound is no where near as critical in SH as some games (this isn't a criticism btw).

If you think the game isnt built around sound, well then your mistaken beyond most.
This game is a simulation, its Driven by sound.
this is just another game in hundreds, it has no normal value thus a system like this is suited in its environment.
Wouldn't work in any other, as this isn't a mainstream game. FM are for benchmarking things, its basically like most people complain about the graphic limitations. its just redundant to think that this game made by this company would try and reach a large field. they make programs to test the limit. this game is no different, and personally I would hate to see it conform to the gaming rules.
If you want friendly games that bend to those requirements play css.

can we not fight I hate forum wars, your ideas nice, so is mine thats it. you have no power over my idea as I have no power over yours ;)
