Thumb Down Re: Half-Life 2: The Orange Box exclusive system requirements!

This orange box is a rip=off. I already have Half Life 2 and episode 1 and the only thing I want is episode 2. When episode 3 comes out we will probably have to buy episode 1 and 2 again in a green box.

the black box was free with my 2900xt, and then they decided to cancel that and put the orange one out, but i cant tell if mine is suppose to automatically upgraded or not. it would be nice for me cause i havnt played ep.1 yet. and im sure they sell ep.2 by itself for like 20$

I looked this up yesterday. We get the Black Box still. It was just canceled for retail. We get EP. 2, Portal and whatever the other game was.

You're only paying for hl2:ep 2, portal and tf2....buying the 3 alone = more than the orange box, and with the orange box you get hl2 and ep1 as well.

Sad Re: Half-Life 2: The Orange Box exclusive system requirements!

I did that system compatibility test and I passed the minimum system specs and was close to the recommended specs, but my graphics card let me down :( I have a 256mb (but only 128mb dedicated) NVIDIA Geforce 7200 card. So I was wondering if I should still get the game? Will it be really really laggy? :(

It will start, but it will not very perform well - at least not at modern resolutions. If you are happy to play at 800x600, it should be fine.

If my GPU had double the memory, I would pass the minimum requirements!

It seems that my PC is very old-fashioned for games, I should get a new one.

But why I worry, I don't plan to play The Orange Box.
