Default Crysis Final System Requirements

YouGamers visited Crytek to check out their heavily anticipated DX10-showcase title Crysis, courtesy of Electronic Arts. A full preview article on the game is coming soon, but the most important piece of news from the visit is the official word on the final system requirements for Crysis.

I love the min requirements - 800x600 and low settings. I'm sure that is exactly what people wanting to play Crysis are looking for ;)

Well, effectively they are saying is... Needs a speedy dual core CPU and high end DX10 card - preferably GeForce 8800GTS 640MB as it's "Nvidia the way it's meant to be played"-title. The minimun specs are for those who are running a 2-3 year old system, and want to know if they can even try to run it.

At least points for honesty - usually everyone just states the min system, and people may actually assume that you can play with it. It's always better to know that what you can expect with it.

Yes. Crysis supports quad-core CPUs.

I know Crysis looks amazing, but I think they could have actually done a bit better with the requirements.

UT3 IMO looks amazing as well and prolly around the same level as Crysis, and its DX9 with considerably lower requirements than Crysis.

Maybe im wrong, Obviously I haven't played either of them, im just going by Vids and screen shots.

Well on My rig (in my Sig) @ 1152x864 on medium, it runs ok, but not great in the Beta. If there are tons of peeps in a map though the Frame rates can get quite choppy.

I was lucky enough to have 30mins of play time with UT3 and not to let you down but the graphics were sorely lacking. I was really surprised, don't get me wrong the textures etc look great but at a fast pace you can't admire them. Overall it is nowhere near as good as crysis which i managed to play for 10mins :-(

Not to have a rant but i also hated that every time you got a frag in UT3 it went in to slow mo (what the hell is that all about??!!).
