Default Heroes of Might & Magic V: Tribes of the East

With the release of Tribes of the East, developers Nival promise to sew off the loose ends from the Heroes of Might & Magic V storyline, but also to fill the game with new content and fix various faults. Too good to be true?

IMHO, the best HOMM series was part 3, nothing else comes close to it..

ToE is more tactical than HoMM 3 was, but due to the issues in the article I agree with you. Armageddon's Blade in particular was pure perfection imho! Although HoMM II with it's outstanding soundtrack, rush / mid-game / end-game faction divisions and semi-serious theme was pretty close!
