Being a pirate of old isn't a new idea for a game, but Flying Lab Software have put some serious thought into parts of their forthcoming MMO. We can take a play through the current beta to see if it will shiver yer timbers or sink with Davy Jones!

This might be what I been waiting for, Sid Meiers Pirates as MMO, not sure about the trading/economie thing yet will be able to judge if/when I play this but I spend days when I was young on the original pirates on c64 and I loved it. Hopefully this will be a move back to that game instead of the dancing you have to do in Sid's latest Pirates!

The dancing is just awesome! Sure it gets repetitive, but so does the combat (in all versions of the game). There are some things I don't like about the newest Pirates incarnation, but fleshing it out in an Errol Flynn movie style was a great call.
