Default Looking Ahead to 2008

2007 had some great games, so naturally we're all looking forward to the goodies arriving in the next twelve months. We lock Aaron away in a dark cupboard for several weeks to give you the mother of all previews. Cue our 14 page monster, looking at some of the delights, promises and speculations for 2008!

Surprised to learn that the "under-appreciated Amiga... died an early commercial death". When I was at school, everybody had Amigas. For years. Except for the freaks with Atari STs (but they don't count, obviously). Maybe it was a European thing.

It was indeed a European thing. We did have a dozen or so Amigas in my grade school computer lab, but that's quite literallly the only time I ever saw an Amiga "in the wild" here in the U.S. (though Commodore 64 and 128 models were quite commonplace). Boneheaded moves by Commodore and the influx of cheap PC clones (and, to some extent, Apple products) prevented the excellent Amigas from moving beyond niche status in the U.S.
