Default New Alan Wake Screenshot

Finnish magazine Pelaaja has published an image lifted off the upcoming Alan Wake trailer. It is claimed that this is a screenshot of real in-engine stuff, and if so, it looks very impressive.

Story is that this trailer should be available soon - it's supposed to be attached to the big screen premiere of Max Payne here in Finland (premiering on 17th of October), and I'd imagine it would show up online soon after that.

We've asked Remedy for a confirmation about their plans with the trailer, but no official word yet.

really looking forward to this, if it carries any of the traits of the max payne series i'll be hooked. Also if that is real DoF in that shot consider me impressed, i might have a short memory or just blind but thats the first in game DoF with an actual aperture effect

It's the stiff, blocky arms that max payne had and it looks like he has them too.

Very impressive? The whole picture is full of blur, how can that be impressive?

It's called depth of field, not 'blur' - the impressive part is the lighting: look closely at Wake's clothing.

I'm just amazed this isn't out yet. I remember reading about it here literally years ago, but if it looks like this all the way through, then perhaps it will have been worth the wait.
