World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

Wrath of the Lich King sold an absolutely massive pile of boxes on the first day - over 2.8 million copies in 24 hours, and probably tons more after the first day. Everyone who actively plays World of Warcraft has already bought the expansion anyway, so in a way reviewing the expansion is mostly academic. But we're going to do so anyway. As a bonus, we tell the tale of one no-lifer leveling from 70 to 80 in three days. Sleep is for the weak. All hail the Lich King.

I just wanted to say that this review was incredible and maybe one of the best reviews that I have ever read for any game. I stopped playing wow 1.5 years ago after getting bored with BC raiding. This review is the first one that actually made me want to play again. Awesome review!!!

wow i kinda left world of warcraft for sometime..
well lets see what this expansion does to make WoW more interesting..
maybe it would get me play again..

The expansion as a whole is "easy" therefore "catching" up shouldnt be very difficult and there are alot of opportunities for late comers or casuals to get to see all of the content this time around. I would say that this expansion had a more story centered progression, therefore I was alot more entertained and satisfied with leveling up.

However the down side is that end game content is now considered to be badly implemented, too easy and an overall disapointment for "constant/hardcore raiders." Also, gear has no meaning and holds no pride in obtainment. Everyone has tier 8 now and it has no special feeling at all, compared to Vanilla, where there was some meaning in having it.

I personally would get it and enjoy it, I certainly did for several months untill we had finished just about everything and it was quite boring.
