World of Warcraft 2.2 patch finally released

Blizzard has finally managed to push their much-delayed 2.2.0 patch for World of Warcraft out of the test servers. Major features include the addition of built-in voice chat and a feature to help players 'vote out' freeloaders from the battlegrounds.

The US realms are patching as we speak and the European realms will get their patch during the (extended) weekly downtime early Wednesday morning. The voice chat feature will be rolled out across the servers in stages, as explained by Drysc in this thread.

To pass the time while the servers are down, full patch notes for the latest Public Test Realm (PTR) version are available here. These are still preliminary - final "live" patch notes will appear here soon.

Direct download mirror list for 2.2.0 (both US and various European language builds as they become available) is available at WoW Wiki.
