Gears of War Ships For The PC

After a year of exclusivity on the Xbox360, Microsoft and Epic Games have announced that the PC edition of Gears of War has begun shipping to stores world-wide today. The PC version features all kinds of new content, including five new campaign chapters, three new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode (King of the Hill), a game editor and more! Here's a little snippet from the press release:

With the Xbox 360 version of the game selling more than 4 million copies to date, “Gears of War” has been lauded by critics for its gripping campaign and fast-paced multiplayer action. Windows gamers can look forward to the “Gears of War” experience for the very first time, and will get to choose between doing battle via mouse and keyboard, or using the Windows-enabled Xbox 360 controller. From renowned developer Epic Games, “Gears of War” for Windows will engage gamers in hyper-realistic combat, allowing players to fight for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surface from the bowels of the planet.

Ok, so who's buying this one? I know I am...can't wait to try out co-op! :D

It got a 9 on Gamespot so it's not that shabby I guess.

Had it on 360, will pick it up when it's bargain bin time

Played thru co-op on 360 with my brother. The only complaint I have is that it was to short, other than that the game is great. And an extra plus for the excellent co-op mode, it really made a difference when two cooperated thru the levels. So I´m pleased to hear that the PC-version includes new campaign chapters. :)
