The Game Developers Conference has rapidly grown into being one of the premier events in the video gaming calendar - no doubt helped by the E3 scaling down from its behemoth size and regularity. So what better place for an exciting new PC gaming website to launch and get maximum attention!

The early morning charge begins...

The Expo floor drew huge numbers of people

The day started with the YG editor joining the masses for the first day of the GDC Expo - the first part of the week is given over to lectures, sessions and tutorials but the last 3 days are all about meeting fellow developers, press members and enthusiasts. All of the big names in the industry were out in force showing off their latest products and services - big crowds were drawn to Sony's and Nintendo's stands, but lots of "ooohs" and "aaahs" could be heard from Crytek's and Epic's areas.

We, though, were out to get maximum attention to our new site and that meant hands-on promoting, consisting of the YG editor (yours truly) and 2 great assistants: Genevieve and Candace, who were admittedly far better at the job than a certain geek...

Err, yes, well - moving swiftly on! We also had a huge truck with our flyer plastered all over it doing laps of downtown San Francisco, which turned lots of heads! Our roving editor was sadly too slow to catch the truck in action but we'll get some shots of it later on. In fact, we will have a full report on the GDC Expo later this week bringing you the latest information from the biggest developers and publishers in the gaming industry.
