Ahh the Nostalgia... granted the theme tune to Alex Kidd in Miracle World was irritating as hell... but still....

IGN is reporting that Sega have announced their classic Master System platform will be joining the Wii Virtual Console lineup in the near future.

For those that don't remember it, the Master System was Sega's 8-Bit predecessor to the Megadrive/Genesis and was rather more popular in Europe that other parts of the world.

Japan will be getting the Master System titles first, starting with Fist of the North star and Fantasy zone for 600 and 500 points respectively. Sega is planning to bring the titles to North America and Europe too, so keep your eyes peeled for some pixelly classic action.
