The Futuremark benchmark developers have pushed out the first Developer Diary video, discussing about 3DMark Vantage. This video is the first piece of additional "stuff" hinted at around the release of the first screenshots of 3DMark Vantage.

The benchmark development team is very busy finishing up the actual benchmark, so for these videos they coerced Nick Renqvist to act as the talking head of the day. The first video explores the question "Why DX10?" and gives some tidbits about the features of the upcoming 3DMark Vantage.

Based on the amount of time Nick spent in the front of a camera earlier, there is more where this came from, so keep your eyes on www.3dmark.com for further updates as 3DMark Vantage launch draws closer.
