NewsScare yourself even more with the Gold Edition of F.E.A.R.Sierra / Vivendi Games announced today a new release of the top selling, critically acclaimed FPS game F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) and it should be available at retailers today. So what's the deal with this version then? Well, first of all you get the "Director's Edition" of the original which includes a "making-of" video with some Machinima runs of gameplay stuff. Do you get directors with computer games? I mean, surely they can't just sit in chairs shouting "CUT!" or "ACTION!" at the coders? You can just imagine it... "You! Start coding...NOW! MORE EMOTION! MORE EMOTION!" Ahem. Anyway, not only that, you also get the spiffy expansion pack, F.E.A.R. Extraction Point, with it too - nicely giving you an all-in-one package to scare yourself silly with. F.E.A.R. (man, those periods get annoying after a while...like, in 3 seconds) is a great game and can tax even decent machines but we were kind of hoping that there would be more to the Gold Edition than just the two packages that you can purchase separately to begin with. Still, if you've not played F.E - no, sorry, FEAR - before then this is definitely the best way to get it. You can check to see if your PC is up to play the original FEAR game by running our cool Game-o-meter - click right here.
