i bet this weapon will be most usefull when you see already burning enemies since flame does damage quite rapidly with in the range of axe, and i for one do not want to give heavy a heads up with bursting him on flames and then rolling different weapon with mouse, at least with current pyros HP that would be suicide against good heavy player.
i really hope we get older tf series pyro rocket laucher to replace shotgun. That would be something on 2fort“s sewer |

| i agree with above about switching to axe from flamethrower... when youre in range to flame them they will be backing up... so its pointless to take your time getting another weapon out if your following them while they back up into the open where your vulnerable... and it would be just pointless on a scout... you wanna get all the damage you can while your still alive.. noone chases down a pyro unless theyre ubered.. or the pyro is low on hp... also a barb wire covered axe... just sounds and looks retarded and impractical... maybe a barb wire bat for a scout but a barb wire axe just seems pointless... it would be more likely to stop the axe from going into an opponent and then getting stuck... mabe if you could throw it! but no other reason for it. it just looks like they werent creative enough to make say a guitar with blades on it. now that would look cool. |

How about something like a molotov cocktail for the pyro - throw it and it showers an area with flames. I could use a half dozen of them :) Awesome for hitting people outside the range of your flamethrower with fire.
Also how about if you crit burn someone then they are able to spread fire by touch / bumping into fellow team members. |

| the pyro flame launcher wouldent work in tf2, as valve stated that none of the new weapons would change the role of the class. the pyro rocket give the pyro a significant med-long range attack, while the pyro's main role in tf2 is that of the most powerful CLOSE-QUARTERS class, and giving him the pyro rocket launcher like the one from team fortress classic would just throw valves most powerful short ranged class out the window. |

| the problem i have with pyro atm is that even at close range he will die to a heavy / soldier, the only thing he is good for is piking off traveling units who are unaware |

Just so you know the Q button instantly switches from your current weapon to your last used weapon making the new axe useful.
And plus I think they will make the axe the first unlocked, then shotgun upgrade then flamethrower upgrade. |

| i was told that the axtinguisher instantly killed the enemy when alight, so if this is the case it would be extreamly useful, especially against heavys |

So far I know 2 of the new pyro weapons
( Axtinguisher, and in the meet the sniper video you see a pyro using a sort of, moltov grenade thrower, or something along the line of that ) |

| well if u charge into a group of unsuspecting people and use your flamethrower, press q to get your axe out quick and swing it around and get a few kills..i think its more practical than the ubersaw, anyways...4 hits for an uber? who gets 4 kills with an ubersaw?? |
