Spicing things up today, Electronic Arts has announced that they've acquired the published rights to id Software's upcoming first person shooter, Rage. No release date is given, but they do mention that we'll learn more about the game at this year's QuakeCon, which takes place on July 31st to August 2nd.

	Neeyik 2008-07-15 #1 Ooh, that's a bit of a loss for Activision - they've published most of id's and Raven's big hitters in the last 10 years, and no doubt picked up quite a few shiny pennies in the process. Maybe this is part of the fallout from the Vivendi acquisition that Activision have just recently completed or it could just well be the megabucks that EA seem to be able to throw around at the moment.
