Wrath of the Lich King Beta Key Problems

Access Denied

After the Wrath of the Lich King beta servers went up last Friday and the NDA was lifted, all those WoW players with a "Future Blizzard Beta" card from Blizzcon 2007 or Worldwide Invitational 2008 (and it's beta registration key) have been waiting for their Wrath of the Lich King beta keys. Things got delayed a bit as the European side of Blizzard's operations had issues putting up the website for activating beta keys and attaching them to an existing World of Warcraft account.

Well, that got fixed on Tuesday, and the first wave of keys to those who had visited the Blizzard events went out around 6PM PDT yesterday (early morning for us Europeans). For most people everything went great and they are now downloading the beta and/or hopping around with their baby Death Knights.

But not everyone. Sadly Blizzard had not learned the lessons from the failure with the Blizzcon 2005 keys two years ago - back then everyone with a Blizzcon 2005 beta card got US Burning Crusade beta keys, and those who lived in the EU had great troubles getting them swapped for EU keys. Today, history repeats itself - everyone with a Blizzcon 2007 card/key got sent an US-specific Wrath of the Lich King beta key, while everyone with a Paris Worldwide Invitational 2008 card/key got an EU-specific beta key. EU players with Blizzcon beta card and US players with WWI beta card are currently screaming in frustration as they have a perfectly valid beta invite, but the wrong beta key.

No word yet from Blizzard on this fumble and no reply from the designated support email, wowbetabilling@blizzard.com - which is where you should be emailing if this problem affects you.
