NewsBlizzcon 2008 Tickets - Event To Be TelevisedThis year's Blizzcon is coming - October 10th and 11th in Anaheim, California. Tickets (100$ per person) are going to go on sale on the 11th of August, and based on earlier events, they are going to sell out almost instantly. If you plan on going, better get ready to camp the website. Those who can't get a ticket or can't go - at least those who live in the US - have another option. DIRECTV is scheduled to air live coverage from the event in HD on their pay-per-view service. Not yet a DIRECTV user? They'll have a promotion in August for new subscribers that will include this event for free. Sadly this also means that the odds of getting an official live web stream are just about zero, as the press release says... Unprecedented event coverage also available exclusively on DIRECTV I hate exclusives. On the other hand, I'm sure there will be plenty of unofficial sources for the HD feed around the web. It's just a question of how determined you are to find a way to watch the event. Our predictions for the highlights of Blizzcon 2008 include the first showing of the cinematic trailer for Wrath of the Lich King (almost certain) and the announcement of the actual release date of the expansion (highly likely, and our crystal ball says "November" as the current target).
