Dragon Age Toolset Details Revealed

Grabbing our attention tonight, the guys over at BioWare have announced plans to release a powerful toolset for their upcoming Fantasy-RPG, Dragon Age: Origins. According to the press release, these tools will allow gamers to create new levels, quests, characters and even script your own "fate-defining" events and cut-scenes. A dedicated online community area is in also in the works, where you'll be able to download and share your creations. Those of you attending PAX can check out a live demo of the tools on August 31st at 1:30pm on the main stage. So don't miss it! ;)

Bioware made this announcement like it was a big surprise. Some ways I understand other ways I don't.

Bioware prototypes still in the NWN engine, Infinite or whatever its called. All level designers looking to get a job there are have to design a level in the NWN editor.

Bioware needs a more up to date toolset and editor no surprise.
