Mirror's Edge Preliminary System Requirements

Gamecyte posted the preliminary system requirements for Mirror's Edge. EA revealed these requirements at NVISION 08 last Friday, and while they are preliminary, they look appropriate.

  • Windows XP or Vista
  • Processor: Pentium 4 at 2.4 GHz
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Video: GeForce 6 Series with 256MB VRAM or better

GeForce 6 series could be realistically translated to "GeForce 6600GT or thereabouts". These are supposed to be the minimum specifications.

It should to some extent depending on your res.

The lead sku for this game is the PS3, so say around a 7900 with 256mb (what the RSX is based off of I think). It probably a good place to judge it off of for 720p more than likely? I know that's some screwed up logic but its about the best guess to go off of right now.

Yes, in theory.

In practice, I wouldn't hold my breath for good framerates at anything over 800x600 with that video card. In general, today's Xbox 360 and PS3 ports run well on systems with something comparable to GeForce 7900GT or 8600GT. Below that, while the games might run, you will have to compromise on visuals and performance.
