Shaking things up tonight, 2K Sports has announced that they'll be bringing NBA 2K9 to the PC later this month. This marks the franchises first foray into the PC market, filling a huge void left by EA Sports earlier this year. Console editions of the game hit stores this week, with the PC version due out on October 21st. Needless to say, the developers sound pretty excited about reaching a new audience:
"We are excited about the growing popularity of basketball and are eager to get NBA 2K9 in the hands of PC fans," said Greg Thomas, senior vice president of sports development at 2K. "The PC version will please even the most dedicated basketball fans with the same level of quality simulation we’ve become known for in the console versions of the NBA 2K franchise."
