Just played it. Fantastic graphics and the frame rate was super smooth. Only one gripe Laura looks a little different and isn't as hot as she was in Legend :P

Hear hear, this is the game I'm most waiting for this fall season. And that's sayin a lot since this fall season seems to be like no other for games ;)

The only annoying thing (that has always been there) is the fact that you can't free turn the camera when you're hanging from a wall. Even in the demo there are three-four points where you have to jump into the blind and just hope that the ledge is really there.

I can't even run the demo, it crashes on launch everytime. What gives?

I'm on Vista x64 with 180.43 drivers btw.

EDIT: Nevermind, found the problem. It was the D3D Overrider I use to force vsync.

Agreed, the graphics are great but given how well it runs they could have done more with the graphics, I quite like the new Laura.

I ran it on vista64, had no issues at all.

Same here, I have been waiting for this one slightly optimistic after the last two.

Sad to here about the camera.

So how's the new combat feel? I hope it's a little better because that is one thing about Tomb Raider that has always bugged me.

The combat is as boring as ever, and it is the thing I've always hated. The options have a very enticing sounding features where you can set how much damage you take from enemies, how much life you hvae and how much ammo. If these will not affect gaining achievements I'm so turning them all to max - I like tomb raider for the puzzles and hopping around. The combat does not interest me at all, and if CD has made it possible to (almost) get rid of combat I'll praise their name from here to high heaven.

Camera needs work as it's even worse than the previous TR games. I hate combat because of the stupid camera never pointing where it should. Occasionally you must do a "leap of faith" to ledges the camera doesn't let you see too...

Few of Lara's movements are too abrupt and kinda glitchy but overall animation is better and more realistic than TRA.

Don't have any more complaints though, graphics look a bit dated (2D static backrounds and foliage, low-res textures and shadows) but ok for a TR game and it runs butter smooth at 1920x1200, 2xAA, 16xAF.
