Shattered Horizon Beta Signups

Guys from Futuremark Games Studio strolled into my office and told they had news on Shattered Horizon - the DX10-only multiplayer shooter set in zero gravity that is currently under development at FGS. The news? Shattered Horizon is getting close to Beta and you can sign up now for a chance to participate - assuming you meet the system requirements. To sign up, head to the official site, http://www.shatteredhorizon.com.

A familiar scanning utility identical to the one used in Game-o-Meter will be used to probe your system specifications for the required bits. You'll need Windows Vista, DirectX 10 graphics card and a dual core processor, so make sure you sign up on the system you would use to play the game. You'll also need broadband Internet connection and a Steam account and if you are chosen, the beta key will be tied to that account. Sounds to me like Shattered Horizon will use Steamworks!

Vista is required simply because the game supports only DirectX 10. Windows 7 has DX10 as well and should also work, so if you already have that on your system, you can sign up. This will be a Closed Beta, slots are limited and there will be a NDA. The guys bringing in the news evaded my thumbscrew and refused to reveal the exact date the beta will start, mumbling only something about "later this summer".

Oh, and those FGS guys also casually dropped off a pair of new screenshots. Oh my!

So, what are you waiting for? Hop to http://www.shatteredhorizon.com for more.

I signed even tough i have no idea how the game gonna be, besides that its a shooter in outer space, with 0 gravity.

This seems to be the first dx10 only game.

So its seems we gonna download the beta true steam.

I hope the game has a build in benchmark.
