NewsRemedy: Alan Wake PC Plans Currently OpenEver since Remedy refused to say anything about the PC version of Alan Wake at E3 2009, people have been asking "why?". Last few days rumors began circulating that the PC version is not happening. While that is not yet entirely true, Remedy has made the following statement (on BrightFalls.net) "Thank you for your continued interest in Alan Wake. It is accurate that we are currently working exclusively on the Xbox360 version of Alan Wake. PC plans are currently open, and therefore it’s safe to say that at least a simultaneous launch with the Xbox version will not happen at this late stage. Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and would love to see a PC version available to its PC followers, ultimately however this decision lies with our publisher." So, as somewhat expected, no simultaneous PC Alan Wake in Spring 2010 with the Xbox 360 version. However, unless Microsoft changes it's mind, it may very well mean no PC version at all. Sounds to me like Remedy would very much like to do the PC version but a decision to publish a PC version has not been made - and in this case "no decision" equals "no PC version" unless something changes. We've asked Remedy for further comment on the subject but no response so far. Latest headlines
