Moving right along, Turbine has released a fresh batch of screenshots from their upcoming Lord of The Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood digital expansion. These latest shots give us a sneak peek at the new Scuttledells region. Check 'em out:

Siege of Mirkwood is scheduled for release on December 1st.

	Neeyik 2009-10-30 #2 The renderer is due an update early next year, I think, but one doesn't make gargantuan leaps in visual quality when updating an MMO, lest one wishes to lose subscribers with old-ish machines.
	Jarnis 2009-10-30 #3 Too bad they'll probably never redo their character animations or the movement code. It is the biggest turn-off for me in LOTRO. It just feels "floaty" with stuff sliding around unconvincingly. Good for screenshots, not so good in action.

	Unregistered 2009-10-31 #8 I never understood this "floaty" / "character animations" thing in LOTRO which some people complain of. I simply can't see it. Being a MMO veteran of many years and many games, it looks fantastic and plays great too. That said, these images look slightly doctored to me. "looks outdated" - you obviously haven't played it. Its still the best looking MMO out.

Its certainly still the best looking MMO out. As for the few complaints I've read about the character animations, I've never seen anything like it myself. And I've played a lot of MMO's in my years.
