Free Mass Effect 2 DLC on Tuesday

Sure to please fans, BioWare has announced that they'll be releasing some free Mass Effect 2 DLC through the Cerberus network on Tuesday, February 9th at 12:00pm Mountain Standard Time. The DLC pack includes Cerberus Assault Armor and a M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun. Here's some stats on the new gear:

Cerberus Assault Armor

  • Cerberus assault armor is designed for shock troops, turn the tide of battle against creatures or forces that would decimate normal soldiers.
  • Increases heavy weapon ammo capacity by +10%
  • Increases shields by +10%
  • Increases health by +10%

M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun

  • The M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun is a longer-range shotgun with armor-piercing loads. This design also violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22a is not distributed to militaries.

You can find some screenshots right here. Can't wait!

Lame... They are just preparing people to get more familiar to DLC to sell more in the future.

Yeah, ME2 is the first game to introduce DLC content! and gosh. ya think we will have to pay for bigger DLC packs? Nooo! that will never happen.

Not like any other game did that.

PS. how big of a sarcasm emote does this post require?

Why do they release this stuff after I finish the game? I have no incentive to use any of these cool weapons unless we get more storyline DLC content!

Yeah dude, good point.

I hate that they actually mentioned ME3 in the game too. ME2 is just there to prepare people for ME3.
