Splinter Cell: Conviction PC Delayed 2 Weeks

Sure to upset fans, an Ubisoft representative has confirmed to Big Download that the PC edition of their upcoming Action-Stealth title, Splinter Cell: Conviction, has been delayed by two weeks for unspecified reasons. Previously scheduled for release on April 13th, the game is now expected to hit stores on April 27th in North America (April 30th in Europe). Between this, the whole DRM issue and the lack of a PC demo, Ubisoft is giving us a lot of reasons to be cheesed off lately. :(

I cannot quote my sources, however, the actual reasoning is the Biometric DRM software needs troubleshooting. Not only was the fingerprint scanner not functioning right, but rumor has it, the retina scanner was burning holes in people's eyes!

Rumor has it there is a last minute fix, they've decided to push up the release of their DNA sequencer. Only a single drop of blood per savegame supposedly.

Cool. Once they finish with those projects they will be able to include non-skippable targeted streaming advertisements before users are able to load their single-player savegames.
