Phantasy Star Universe Expansion Revealed

Keeping busy, SEGA has announced a new expansion pack for thier cross platform Action-RPG, Phantasy Star Universe. Entitled Ambition of the Illuminus, the expansion is due out this Fall and will features a load of new content including new class types, lobby areas, weapons and individual room upgrades using the new grid system, which allows gamers to decorate the walls and place interactive items anywhere they want. Here's a little blurb from the press release:

Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus continues the exciting single player action-RPG storyline as a new Human Fundamentalist group, known as the Illuminus, disrupts the peaceful Gurhal System throwing the Gurhal Government into chaos. Using their custom-made Guardian, players investigate a series of single-player missions where they will meet familiar characters like Ethan Waber from Episode 1, and other new characters including GUARDIAN instructor, Laia Martinez.

Customized rooms have always been a strange feature to me, but I do see some value in having players grind out money or whatever to continually upgrade their place. So I guess it's cool. ;)
