Total Gamer Zone are reporting that in EA's latest fiscal conference call, they announced that they will not be releasing Spore with their 2008 fiscal year - in other words, you won't see the massively anticipated game until at least late Spring next year.

Spore is the latest creation in development from Will Wright - he who was responsible for The Sims. In a similar way that one takes control of another person's life, Spore goes several steps further by starting from scratch, right at the very beginning. One takes an initial lifeform from the earliest stages of its evolution and then nuture, help and push it through all of the stages of growth and expansion, until one can ultimately colonise another planet in space with that creature.
