ET: Quake Wars Public Beta AnnouncedKeeping things interesting this weekend, Splash Damage has announced plans for a Public Beta Test of their upcoming multiplayer shooter, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. While you can't sign-up just yet, the folks over at FilePlanet will be offering 60,000 beta keys to both paying and non-paying subscribers "in the near future". The beta itself will feature a single map. Here's a little description of it: The Public Beta build will consist of a single map named “Sewer”, which is part of ETQW’s Pacific Campaign. Set in Japan, the map revolves around a Strogg base hidden in, well, a sewer. It’s an interesting mix of outdoor and indoor, vehicle and infantry combat, deployables and counter-deployables and good old-fashioned FPS combat. Further details are expected shortly.
