NewsAge of Conan Dev Secures $30 Million in FundingDrumming up a little business today, Funcom have announced that they've secured $30 million dollars in additional funding to help launch their upcoming MMORPG, Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures. No word on where exactly the cash is coming from, but the game is still on track for its October 2007 release and this extra funding should really help things go smoothly. Anyways, here's a snippet from the press release: “We’re expecting the launch of ‘Age of Conan’ to create significant waves in the MMO gamespace,” says Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. “With the secured additional funding Funcom is in an even better position to make the launch of the game a success. This commitment from the financial market is reflecting the great promise and expectations for ‘Age of Conan’.” The PR also mentions that Funcom will be entering the casual MMO market and are currently evaluating their options.
