Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Gold Edition

Today saw some information appear about Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Gold Edition for the PC appear. This pack intended for newcomers to the game will include the original game and its first expansion set, Civilization IV: Warlords™ plus an impressive list of bonus items.

For anyone that hasn't experienced Civ in one of its many guises (Is there anyone out there that falls into that category?) Sid Meier's Civilization IV is a strategy game that challenges players to build and expand an empire, throughout all of human history, and become the most powerful ruler the world has ever known. The Gold Edition also includes these bonus features:

  • Exclusive fantasy-style poster from world-famous artist Greg Hildebrandt (illustrator of the original "Star Wars" fantasy-themed "Clash of the Titans" movie poster, "Lord of the Rings" calendars and posters and other seminal artwork)
  • Behind-the-scenes DVD with developer interviews, insight into the Civilization IV development process and a short feature on Sid Meier's video game history
  • Tech-tree poster featuring the paths to researching and discovering all of the technologies needed to advance in Civilization IV
  • Civilization IV Game Manual
