BioShock PS3 Info

The flow of news around BioShock is soon getting out of hands! Though this isn't really related to PC gaming I thought to share it with the rest of you as it is rather interesting anyway. According to a post over at our discussion boards there's some interesting stuff to be found in the BioShock game engine configuration options about a possible Playstation 3 version of the game.

Here's the scoop:

(CONSOLE)

;; Console (XBox360, PS3) specific settings

;; StreamingDynamicFloatingLimit:
;; If this is a positive number, then instead of using the fixed per-level
;; limits, the StreamingDynamic resource will use as much memory as is
;; available as long as the total memory allocated by the game is less than
;; the specified number. In other words, StreamingDynamic will grow and
;; shrink to fit to the available memory instead of being locked to a fixed
;; budget
StreamingDynamicFloatingLimit=500

You'll find this under Program Files/2k Game/Bioshockdemo/Content/configINI.ibf , just open the file with notepad or wordpad .

Now, is this proof that BioShock is coming out on the Playstation 3 as well, or is it just some leftovers from the Unreal Engine 3 (which is the base for BioShock, and is a multiplatform game engine)? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
