Unofficial BioShock FOV Fix Available

Will we ever see an end to the news around BioShock? Just as I thought things had calmed down a bit, I got informed that there's a fix (unofficial though) for the FOV issue many gamers have experienced in BioShock (both in the demo and the full game).

A chap by the name Paddywak has posted some very interesting info over the 2k's official BioShock forums about this unofficial FOV fix. Without any further ado, here's something to chew on:

Racer_S and the widescreengamingforum.com bring you this fix ...
It is for the demo only ...
One for the Full version to follow as soon as we can sort it ...
This of course won't work on the 360 ...

Though the post claims "demo only", I noticed a couple of posts later the following:

A version that works with the full game here ... should also work with Vista ...

So the fix should work with both the demo and the full game. Now before you get all jolly, break out the champange and dance on the tables, this fix really is unofficial and said to only work on Windows XP 32bit and 64bit. Some say it works on Vista 32bit if you run the game in DX9 mode, but since we haven't had time to test this fix we can't guarantee that it works at all.

As always with anything unofficial, you're on your own if you decide to go for it.
