After a "slight" industrial accident on the Moon, Earth now has a nice ring of asteroids and this provides a backdrop for a desperate fight to the death between ISA and MMC. Boasting DX10 only visuals and full six-degrees-of-freedom movement, Shattered Horizon promises to bring something different to multiplayer shooters. With Blizzard's latest expansion still deep in beta test, MMO junkies are desperately seeking for a new fix. EA and Mythic Entertainment have timed their launch well - Warhammer Online is coming and unlike the rest of the competition, Mythic is dead serious about putting out a true polished triple-A MMO title. Futuremark Games Studio is at the Leipzig Games Convention this week, and they put up a show demoing an early build of their first game, Shattered Horizon, for YouGamers. It wasn't hands-on, but it answered a lot of questions. How does the game from the guys who made 3DMark Vantage look at this point?

Age of Conan tries to entice people with blood, decapitations, boobies and other "interesting" things worthy of a hard M-rating on the box. It's still early days, but is there any meat behind the flashy exterior? The much-loved Tomb Raider series marches onwards with title number 8, called Tomb Raider: Underworld. Returning to the time and feel of Tomb Raider: Legend, the third feather in Crystal Dynamics' Lara-cap promises more of everything: more polygons, more effects, more puzzles, and more moves. Is it possible to have too much of a good thing?
