Valve has spent a while on the Team Fortress sequel, restarting the whole project at least once along the way. Has it been worth the wait? While a full analysis has to wait until closer to the final release, it's hard not to go overboard with the superlatives with Team Fortress 2. It's good. It's very good. It's Blizzard-grade good. It would be silly to go and reinvent something that is proven to work, so instead the aim of Valve has been simply to take everything learned in the field of team-based online first person shooters, combine it with the winning formula of nine different classes of the original Team Fortress, condense everything good to a tight package and polish everything until it shines.
Team Fortress 2 in action
And boy does it shine - Team Fortress 2 is pure non-stop action. The only pauses you get are when your body parts are splattered all over, and even then you are entertained with the best kill-cam I've seen so far; a quick freeze frame to your opponent few moments after you've bought the farm.
