Hell or Heaven?
Toasty flamethrower - one of the best examples of such a weapon in a game.
Infernal is bit of an oddball game. The gameplay concepts are not that dissimilar to a wide array of critically acclaimed titles such as Half-Life, Max Payne or Deus Ex, but I guess today we expect a bit more than artificially limited obstacle courses, no matter how well you shiny up the looks. Shortcomings in details such as cutscene animations, voice acting and script don't exactly help, and while Infernal would have been considered a fine title in the past, these days the bar is just so much higher that it leaves Infernal in the hell reserved for mediocrity. On the upside Infernal is well-polished, bug-free and smooth to play - even on a slightly older system - and the visuals are good. If you consider that this is a game from a small and fairly unknown Polish development team, it could be much worse. Might be still worth taking a look, at least once you find it in the discount bin.
