And for the veterans?

The darkness (not the band!) awaits you in the Underworld.

For people that have completed Titan Quest though, you are greeted with Chapter 4 of the primary story, where you are transported to the city of Rhodes. After a while of standard "Titan Questing", you are asked to travel to the deadly underworld of Hades to finally destroy the dark army lurking there. Wave goodbye to the countryside that you’re now accustomed too, and sit in awe at the dark underworld and its beautiful quality. The extra chapter will give you about 10-15 hours of additional playability in total, which if you think about it is quite fantastic for an expansion pack considering the additional improvements that have been added to the original game too.

Overall Impressions

Immortal Throne adds that extra life that Titan Quest fans have been after; when it comes to this expansion though, it's quite hard to not say "if you liked Titan Quest, you’ll like this", but to be honest, that’s all I can really say! If you did not like Titan Quest enough or wanted something different to play to try, then this expansion simply won't do it for you - especially if you haven’t completed the original game as you have to complete that first to see the new chapter. On the flip side, if you're a massive Titan Quest fan and did not get bored of the repetitiveness, then this will enhance the game's life and improve enough to play through again.

Scores

Gameplay 82 It's still Titan Quest at heart, with additional monsters, quests and a new chapter to keep the fans happy. Not for those who are expecting something completely different out of the box – you just wont get it.
Graphics 91 The graphics system hasn’t had much of a change, but that’s not always a bad thing. The graphics in Immortal Throne can still make you go "wow!"
Audio 88 Again, the voice acting isn't corny and the music mixed with the ambient sound makes you feel right in the game.
Technology 72 Running the same engine and this only being an expansion, you still get the same slowdowns and do lose the quality when the graphics are lowered.
OVERALL
76
For a Titan Quest fan, this is everything you want. Install both the original and expansion together so you can experience how it is meant to be played. All the quirks that fans suffered have been fully resolved.
