Bioshock and Civ 4 expansion pack UK release dates

Take 2 Interactive have announced the following UK release dates:

As with all such matters, these dates are subject to change but both are eagerly awaited, so let's hope they don't slip!

Bioshock is the spiritual successor to System Shock 2, although it has no actual ties with the game. So how can it be a sequel then? Firstly, it's made by Irrational Games (who made SS2) and it contains all of the best bits from the cult classic, but thoroughly modernised and improved. This title has been heavily anticipated (17 awards at last year's E3!) but at least the hype has been sensible.

Beyond the Sword is a new expansion pack for Civilisation 4 - how about a bit of press blurb to fill you in?

Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword is the second expansion pack for Civilization IV - the 2005 PC Game of the Year and major commercial success. The expansion will focus on the late-game time periods after the invention of gunpowder and will deliver 12 challenging and decidedly different scenarios created by the development team at Firaxis Games, as well as some esteemed members of the Civilization Fan Community. Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword will also include 10 new civilizations, 16 new leaders, 5 new wonders, and a variety of new units that will offer even more fun and exciting ways for players to expand their civilization's power as they strive for world domination.

Sounds good, yes? How about the fact that it adds 12 new scenarios, 10 new civilisations, 16 new leaders, new wonders, new gameplay features - it's an impressive list for "just" an expansion pack.
